Kirirom National Park

   Nature always stay in everywhere, on Thursday/25/ October/2018 in outdoor exploration we went to the Kirirom national park, which is located in the Kampong Speu province. While we spend three to four hours for the drive. Along the way, I saw a beautiful view of Kampong Speu province, lives of people, and rice field that full of green color like a golden mat.

   Kirirom is a place full of nature with amazing scenery of mountain and tall trees were moving to follow the wind. Cool wind blow makes me more relax, enjoy, and fresh with the smell of flowers are in forests. The conversation of birds to communicate with each other mix with music that makes tourists feel “WELCOME”. When we just arrived at Kirirom we tried to find a place to pick up our tents, there had tall trees around like fences to protect us. Oh! Wait for the air touch to my skin was cool and hear some sound of….waterfall wow!. My heart was jumping up and down excited to see waterfall and wadding of water. We had to come to find the located of the waterfall, which is three kilometers. I didn’t feel tired, but joyful to see different animals, plants, and listen to a concert of birds. During I walked I saw a worm as long as plastic straw. I should notice the life of animals on the mountain and in Liger is very different. Look at over there was a waterfall, there are many people come to visit and swim with their family and have a smiley face on. The sound of waterfall make music, sunshine show light on a big rock like the large diamond with the light is shining with power. Water cool like ice float along the way across rocks as life meet a lot of challenges, but there is still a solution on to fight off problems. Moreover, we have been seeing gibbons jump on branches and they are so cute. Now it time for me to take off my mind for waterfall and scenery around to walk to our bus, but I didn’t want to leave because I was happy to play with nature.

   After we came back from the waterfall, so our next plan we would go to the lake called Srah Srang. There is so beautiful view around of trees and lake. Than our facilitator decides to pick tents near to water. In the afternoon we cooked for the dinner time, which is pasta, but before could eat that food there was also problem that our stove doesn’t work, so we have to find other solution to make fire. Everyone tried their best to find wood near to place that we sleep for making fire and we also saw a Khmer stove. Make campfire sat around, eat food, sang songs, and dance under full moon shine the shining light to our place with many stars stay around. If you just take a look to everyone face there were full of smile shine on. At night time was so cold, one highlight from this place is there aren’t mosquitoes. In the morning was rainy that make everyone feel a little bit cold and we could still see the good scenery of nature. This was the last day for the trip we had to go back to school. I didn’t want to say goodbye. Before we leave we went to visit other waterfall called O’Ta Sek.  

   I really appreciated everything that has in my country. Besides I enjoyed with nature I could learn and get more experience that it couldn’t learn from books. Everyone has a great time and memory with each other that we couldn’t forget.  Overall, I didn’t want to go back, but I hope that we will meet you again Kirirom.

Atomic Mass and Atomic Number

     

     

       The stem is combined from words Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. All of them have connected with each other. This year is different we have included the physical subject. In the stem class, I have learned about the Atomic mass and Atomic number and more. Atomic mass is the number of proton and neutron plus together. One tip that we could find atomic mass is taking mass number can be divided by 2, which mean proton and neutron are half of each other. Atomic number is the number of the protons are in the atom.

Technology/Multimedia

    Adobe Software is a series of software of graphic, design, video editing, photos, and more. There are many Adobe software such as In design, Photoshop, Lightroom, illustrator, and etc,… In Technology/Multimedia class we just learned three adobe, which are Indesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom. Our teacher Cindy had divided us into three different peers to teach that three adobe. Some of our classmates would know how to use either one of those programs, so they need to have a plan for teaching to friends in class. I was also a member that teach Indesign program, share some information, what does Indesign working for, and how to use it (Mostly, Indesign using for creating pages of a book). On the next day, other teams teach the extra lessons. Moreover, they have to tell the different features of those. After we studied about three programs we have homework that needs to choose a topic, information, editing photos, design, or make graphic whatever we want, but we should include that three Adobe in our work. Also, we have to write both languages in Khmer and English. I had created a page of Honda, which has some information about Honda’s biography and his business.

Root Word

  • Every Monday in Literacy class our teacher gives us a paper about root words in English
  • There are timelines, which lasts a long time ago
  • One day we have divided into three groups to create the video about root words that can teach students by watching a video
  • In those animations have to include explanation, examples, and have pictures to make it’s easier to understanding.
  • My team need create a video about “AUD”
  • If you look at this video you will know more about it
  • I could get more knowledge about the root words of English and dateline of history

Khmer Literacy

  • When we came back from holiday in Khmer class we learned new lesson is Formal Communication
  • Then we have divided into three groups, they would did research about different topics
  • My team did research on clothes, distance, and smell
  • First, clothes topic:

– Women: dress, shirt, or a skirt with the business suit jacket. Also, they should wear jewelry or watch on and a handbag to look more professional.

– Men: suit, shirt, pants, and a watch to look more professional too

-Shoes: You should wear shoes that make you comfortable. (Do not wear flip-flop shoes)

-Color: You shouldn’t use colorful for a dress, pants, and etc,…

  • Second, distance is how far do we need to stand while we talking.
  • Mostly, you know how to stand when you talking, which make you and partners feel great.
  • Keep the space one step from your partners
  • The last, it is very important that we need to be careful is the smell. Before we leave have to check on yourself and prepare
  • After we finish did research there would be a presentation to share information to our classmate and answer all of the questions
  • Listening to other groups for sharing their information
  • The end of the presentation we have to write them down into a notebook
  • I enjoyed this lesson because I got a lot of new knowledge and know more about the way to for formal communication    . This is the special skill we will use every time when we grow up

Cambodia Identity Product_ Technovation

    Technovation is a global tech entrepreneurship education program that wants to increase the number of girls in technology and entrepreneur. Also, students in Liger specialist, girls have the opportunity to involve in this program. The first year, there are 25 students from Liger enjoyed with this program I also a member too. We studied Technovation at CKC. There were many girls from different schools. For the first day, all the students went to there classes, get to know each other, and our coaches. Every team had to choose a topic, find problems, solutions and would create an app that can solve those problems. There are six themes: Poverty, Health, Environment, Peace, Education, and Equality. It was really hard to think of ideas to create an app that can solve problems and help people. I and my team have been discussing for many hours, so we had decided to choose poverty theme. We wanted to choose this theme because as you know Cambodia also has Khmer traditional products created by Cambodian, but now a day it doesn’t really popular, so when fewer people buy products made in Cambodia the people who made products or craftspeople would have low income. We wanna to create an app that could find markets for craft people and customers to buy Khmer traditional products. Moreover, we aim to increase more employment for Cambodia. The app is called “ Cambodia Identity Product”. Besides, on every team finish with their plan our mentors taught us about writing code and business plan. Furthermore, we had to make pitch and demo video for a summit to Technovation program. We spend 12 weeks to complete and submit our app. We also had to prepare a presentation for mini pitch competition.
     On April was a due date to complete all of the works and show their product to judges in mini pitch. My team was excited and kind of a little bit nervous because it was nearly time for us to stand on stage to present our app to in front of many people. Tek! Tek! Tek! was time for me to share our ideas and my heart also ran faster like a marathon competition.

Math

     Math is the practical subject that actually we use everywhere. In the math class, we learn a book called “ Primary Mathematics” Singapore math, which they have divided into different grades and we have been studied 4A and 4B. This year we continue to 5A has 6 chapters. Some lessons are similar to last year, but they are a different way to solve them. Five weeks to start a new book we finish three lessons are Whole Number, More Calculations with Whole Numbers, and Fractions. Among those three lessons, I like More Calculations with the Whole Number because there has the formula to calculate the number with parenthesis, word problems, and our teacher Samantha has include algebra. Algebra is a part of mathematics has a letter in which general symbol that represents a number. I get new knowledge and strategy to find the answer. Those lessons are catching my feeling enthusiastic about this subject. I could say that Math is my favorite subject that I couldn’t say “Hate”.

     Besides, we study lessons in book or website, our teacher has assigned us to write a quote for math class the quote is “ Make the Most of Your Learning”. There are the different style to write and make posters about this quote. All of the posters are on the wall in class, which they could remind when we walk into the math class with energy, power, appreciate, try your best to study, and never give up.

The Geography of Cambodia

Cambodia is my country the place that I have born, live, and study. There are many wonderful things that everyone is really appreciate. Cambodian Geography Book is a project that I have been working for one year. This is a book written by students for students and it has information about 25 provinces. We have to divide into four regions, which northern, eastern, southern, and western. Our juniors cohort went on trip to different provinces to get information. Our team is really work hard with determination to make this book more fun, interesting, enjoy, and readers know more detail. The goal for Cambodian Geography book is for tourist and government schools to apply for their curriculum.
